Fold-Flat Workstations

The Der Vorstand is a Unfolding Workstation for Tight Spaces

German furniture designer Nils Holger Moormann created the ideal work-from-home workstation solution called the Der Vorstand. Its name comes from the German term for 'the board,' which insinuates its structural shape — ideal for small spaces or those who want to tuck away the work-life during the weekends.

When unfolded, the Der Vorstand creates a wall behind the user. This helps prevent glare on the screen from the windows and obscures the user's living space for work-related video chats. Seeing as video calls have become the norm for most companies over the last year and a half, this feature is highly welcomed into the home-office setup. Additionally, optional curtains can be used to block glare from the sides or for more privacy.
