Deliverect Shares Data from the Recent World Cup Final

Deliverect, a global restaurant technology company that processes digital orders for more than 8,000 locations worldwide, has released data from the recent World Cup final that reveals unprecedented spikes in food delivery activity. The company reported the busiest single minute in the platform's history just before the Argentina versus Spain match, when order volume surged to more than three times the average pace for 2026.

Deliverect's analysis shows that throughout the tournament, match nights lifted delivery orders by as much as 25% in major markets, with the final producing the largest baskets of the competition as fans ordered for groups rather than individuals. Pizza emerged as the undisputed champion of the tournament, with orders during England's matches climbing from 63% above normal in the opening game to 79% during the semifinal.
