The basic structural criteria for a seat and a table are much alike, usually incorporating a flat horizontal surface atop four supportive legs. By this description, a side table and a stool are one in the same. But the way that these Decorkuznetsov Chairs have been manufactured makes them look remarkably more like the sort of piece you'd find positioned next to the couch.
This is because the Simple Porter, the Carry Stick, the X-Form, the One-Sider and the Rodent Back are defined by a small drawer beneath the seat and a sitting surface that is void of any ergonomic grooves or a slight tilt to improve comfort. Without a backrest, the Porter is easily mistaken for a bedside stand. But these quirky Decorkuznetsov Chairs are in fact seating, each enhanced by an eccentric back support or armrest. Of course, who is to say they cannot fulfill two functions of both table and perch?
