Dead Rebel Icon Artwork Series from Paul Insect Is Hauntingly Hip

— January 21, 2009 — Art & Design
I love this haunting series of Dead Rebels by Paul Insect. These images feature the major dead icons of rock ‘n roll: Elvis, Jimi Hendrix and Sid Vicious. Here they are, presented in a dark skeletal form with the colors of the American and English flags: red, white and blue.

Paul Insect crossed over from a career as a graphic designer to the cutting edge of the street art scene. His design collective called ‘Insect’ was taken from a keen interest in the subject of insects, hence his name, Paul Insect.

In addition to being a recognized artist and designer, Insect has done commercial work for many leading brands like Adidas and Audi.
