The Twitter explosion is not slowing down in the least. I'll follow suit by describing David Nichols' invention in 140 characters or less.
Using a wireless router and a Twitter client, the machine can grab and display the most recent 20 Tweets from Nichols' followers. Yee-Haw!!!
It's an amazing little invention regardless of its current image (looks big and old). Now he'll never be out of the loop.
Implications - As social media participation continues to grow, so does the opportunity for a corporation to capitalize on such an important part of the cultural zeitgeist. By creating social media products/applications that further enhance consumer integration, companies can establish themselves as businesses on the forefront of contemporary society.
