The dance photography of French artist JR is nothing that could be captured on stage. Taking it to the rooftop of the Opera Garnier in Paris, dancers clad in matching black-and-white polka dot leotards perform synchronized formations that look entirely surreal. It helps that the dance photography boasts a dramatic white backdrop that the dancers somewhat blend into as those a personification of the elements.
Taking place 56-meters above the ground, the rooftop dance photo series is visually striking. Starring a cast of forty dancers, they all look to be having the time of their lives as they pose in lines, lying down on the roof or even supporting each other in complex holds that make the dance photos even more impressive.
