The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Partnered with Lyft

The bus is convenient and affordable, but it doesn't always get you exactly where you need to go so The Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) connected its services to other resources that can help a consumer finish that last leg of their journey, like a car share service like Lyft.
The new feature is described as a "multi-model trip planner" that's encouraging individuals to take public transit more frequently by outlining how simple and efficient it can be. The president and executive director of DART, Gary Thomas said that “If we’re going to stay relevant as a transportation provider we have to offer options so [users] can make a complete trip whether it’s for work or fun.”
