Dai distinguishes itself as a maker of "performance womenswear for the professional woman" that favors technical fabrics and elegant, minimalist styles. Dai was created by Joanna Dai, a former banking executive, who notes that "there are plenty of brands that sell beautiful, well-made clothes that you can wear to the office but they don’t seem particularly well-suited to the way we work today."
