NBA player Derrick Rose and adidas designer Robbie Fuller collaborated on the 'D Rose 6' basketball shoes. During the shoe's development, the NBA star was hampered with injuries and was unable to play during the season. In designing the shoe, Fuller asked Rose what he was excited about most and his response was: "I’m excited to get back to my craft."
Fuller took this message to heart and applied it to the design of the sneaker. The D Rose 6 is even more comfortable than previous models and added technical elements make the shoe safer. Fuller made sure that its design is also deeply personal for Rose. One example of this would be the distinct herringbone design on the shoe's outsole, which resembles a pattern on Rose's luxury car.
A number of detailed design elements are also added to make the D Rose 6 uniquely meaningful to the athlete.
