Customizable Wireless Microphones

Insta360 Adds E-Ink Displays and Expandable Storage

Insta360 is introducing customizable wireless microphones with its new Insta360 Mic, allowing content creators to personalize their recording equipment through an E-Ink display. Users can showcase logos, images, or personal designs directly on the transmitter while choosing between wireless audio transmission and expandable onboard recording.

The microphone features a microSD slot that enables 32-bit float recording, preserving audio detail across varying sound levels. A dedicated AI processing chip reduces background noise, while compatibility with multiple transmitters supports group recordings. The device also offers up to 34 hours of battery life with its charging case.

For Insta360, the launch expands its wireless audio portfolio by offering an intermediate option between its entry-level and flagship models. Starting at $139.99, the microphone could attract vloggers, podcasters, and other creators seeking adaptable recording equipment.
