Lara Croft is returning as Amazon Games' Crystal Dynamics to develop the upcoming Tomb Raider game. The studio is developing the game using Unreal Engine 5 to create the most expansive and largest Tomb Raider game as of yet. The plans aim to have the game out within a few years and will be available across a wide range of different platforms. Currently, it is only in its early stages and it will retain all of the franchise's notable hallmarks.
The game will be a single-player game with "an environment that rewards exploration and creative pathfinding." Players will be solving many puzzles and battling a variety of enemies to continue building upon Lara's story instead of launching a new reboot.
