Crossover Sauce Packets

Taco Bell & Duolingo Put Nine Languages on a Collaborative Habanero Packet

Taco Bell is adding 'Duo Habanero Sauce' for Taco Day, offering taco eaters a sweeter, spicier option than the chain's standard packets. The Duolingo collaboration brings fruity tang and habanero heat to Taco Bell orders at participating locations in the U.S., Canada, and other markets.

The crossover appears in a bright green packet featuring the Duolingo owl breathing fire and lines in 9 languages, so the wrapper doubles as a collectible. Sugar and pumpkin puree pull the sauce away from a straight vinegar blast, leaving a sweeter burn that suits crunchy tacos and creamier builds alike.

The sauce runs thin, lands with a quick acidic spark, and then settles into a warm habanero finish. In the U.S., one packet comes free with any Doritos Locos Tacos order. Each extra packet is 1/2 ounce. They cost $0.20 each starting October 6.
