Nike's Air Max 1 Gets a New 2022 Crepe Hemp Series Relaunch

Nike introduces the Crepe Hemp series once again this year in celebration of the Air Max 1 sneaker model and its 35th year anniversary. Diving into its archives, the original shoe was made from a burlap material, accompanied by tan leather details overlaying on top and brown soft suede at the mudguard.

This year, it takes on a very similar theme with a blend of medium brown accented by mint foam, mushroom, and muslin. The Swoosh on the lateral side of the shoe is designed in a bright pop of contrast with aqua blue makeup. It sits on top of a white midsole foundation and gum tonal crepe rubber outsole unit to round out the entire design.
