Bashing Robots Into Dummies

Protecting Crash Test Dummies With Scientific Advances

Crash dummies need to be safer? Whaaa? I thought Crash Test Dummies were supposed to get crunched to protect humans. I need to rethink my theory in light of this recently obtained video from the IEEE International Conference of Robotics and Automation in Kobe Japan.

They are using robots to smack dummies to make the dummies safer. That’s what they say. My new theory is that the robots are testing the force needed to disable, but not kill, humans so we will remain useful to them during the Great Bot Battle.

Robotic Crash Testing
The use of robots for safer crash testing of products and vehicles could reduce human risk.
Artificial Intelligence in Safety Testing
Integrating AI could lead to more efficient and accurate safety testing of products and vehicles.
Robotic Automation in Product Testing
Implementing robotic automation for safety and quality testing in various industries could increase speed and accuracy while minimizing risk.

Who This Affects Most
