N. HOOLYWOOD COMPILE and UGG work in collaboration to create a line of cozy footwear silhouettes that made its public debut on the runways of New York Fashion Week last June. Daisuke Obana, founder and designer at N. HOOLYWOOD COMPILE takes UGG's signature silhouettes and gives it a design makeover from an angle that explores utilitarian sensibilities.
This approach highlights a dark angle in terms of the tonal palette -- the range features slides and shoes that sit on top of a chunky sole unit in a flat-form. This gives it a minimal tonal look in an urban sense with a spotlight shining on the slide model. It is made with a smooth suede material across the uppers engraved with branding details nodding to the Japanese brand on the back quarter and UGG on the opposite side. The sole unit foundation is swole and gargantuan to be ergonomically friendly and comfortable.
