Costume National Homme Fall/Winter 2014 Channels Bowie

Looks from the Costume National Homme Fall/Winter 2014 collection graced the runway for the first time just a few days ago at Milan Fashion Week. The garments in the collection took inspiration from David Bowie, bringing a perfect mix of rocker style with Bowie’s colorful eclecticism.

Like any rock-chic collection, Costume National Homme used accents like fur, zippers and leather detailing to get across its edge. Although a large part of the collection is based in blacks, but there are also plenty of pops of color in electric blue, oranges, purples, emeralds and red to keep the collection from being plain and to reinforce that quintessential Bowie flamboyance.

However, the exuberance of the collection is reined in with its sophisticated use of gradients, tailored silhouettes and rich textures.
