Co-op and Royal Mail have announced a new partnership that will see the mail carrier rolling out parcel lockers to the convenience store retailer's locations this summer. The full partnership has plans for 100 store locations to receive the parcel lockers, which will enable consumers to drop off their pre-labeled Royal Mail parcels and returns around the clock with collection also expected to be offered in the near-future. The lockers will also provide customers with label printing by simply making a purchase for postage online or right at the locker.
Director of Partnerships and Acquisitions at Royal Mail Anna Malley commented on the Co-op and Royal Mail partnership saying, "Our customers are sending more and more parcels, whether that’s returning online purchases or selling secondhand clothing on marketplaces, so it’s crucial that we give them a wide range of options to do so. This partnership will help us to expand our network, creating even more drop off points.”
