A long time ago—not sure exactly when—the kitchen was the center of the home. Not only was it where everyone gathered to eat, it was also where the literal warmth was. If you didn’t want to freeze to death, you stayed in the vicinity of the stove.
Times have changed, and the kitchen is now only visited in passing. Rüegg, renowned Swiss fireplace makers, have come out with the CookCook stove, which seeks to change that by combining a stove, grill, and fireplace. The ‘CookCook stove’ may sound like a slightly silly name, but hey, they’re Swiss.
