Jaybird Emphasizes Mindfulness and Accessibility

Jaybird is a contemporary fitness studio that emphasizes the importance of mindful movements. Founded by Barbie Bent and Ariel Swan, Jaybird offers immersive environments and classes that encourage participants to let go of inhibitions and trust their perceptions. The contemporary fitness studio's five signature classes are held in an infrared-heated room, promoting serotonin production and muscle recovery. The studio provides candlelight-only lighting, carefully curated music, and an absence of mirrors to create an atmosphere that encourages self-attunement and focus on movement.

Recently, Jaybird expanded to Yorkville in Toronto, where it will offer an all-new Reformer Pilates edition of its signature Burn class. The new location will also share space with Othership, a bathhouse concept centered around wellness entertainment, featuring saunas, ice baths, and breathwork. The studios aim to offer a space that fosters deep connections and a sense of freedom with one's own body.
