The Common's SS 2015 collection was inspired by the clean lines and minimalist aesthetic of the late 1990s. However, despite the origins of Saif Bakir and Emma Hedlund's inspiration, the designs are still progressive and future-oriented. The Swedish designers prove that while the past may inspire us, we must continue to move forward.
Hedlund and Bakir paid special attention to the textures and fabrics. The line is generally comprised of metallic silver constructions, clean whites and super faded denim. One of the stand out pieces is a pale grey biker jacket constructed from tumbled leather for a worn-in look and feel.
Overall, the Commons SS 2015 collection is perfect for those who prefer a simple and uncluttered personal style.
