Rockwell Collins has invented an extraordinarily high-tech combat helmet, dubbed the Integrated Digital Vision System, that is designed to make it easier than ever for soldiers on the battlefield to take advantage of technologies such as heads-up displays, vision augmentation systems and integrated information and communication modules to stay one step ahead of the enemy.
This particular combat helmet can either be powered by four 18650 batteries or eight CR123 batteries, in order to enjoy several hours of operation. What's great about this system is that it is designed using open architecture that can be updated and upgraded over time as technology evolves.
Information is certainly power when it comes to the battlefield, and this combat helmet takes that mantra seriously as it aims to give some of the world's most advanced war units an advantage in their various battles around the world.
