The Roland and PUMA Collaboration Boasts Sleek and Colorful Footwear

PUMA releases a pack of subtle colorful footwear in conjunction with well-known Japanese company Roland, which specializes in the manufacturing of electronic music instruments. In particular, the RS-0 and the RS-100 silhouettes pay tribute to the iconic TR-808 drum machine — one of the earliest products on the market that allowed users to compose their own rhythms.

Since the device was created in the 80s, the colorful footwear mimics its retro aesthetic. The palette for the uppers is strongly informed by the nuanced variations on Roland's TR-808. In addition, the companies add a playful branding embellishment to the RS-100 with a 'Rhythm Composer TR-808/ Computer Controlled' printed on the heel.
