Collina Strada Puts Sustainability at the Forefront for NYFW

Collina Strada’s Spring/Summer 2023 runway show at New York Fashion Week tapped multiple notable names in the fashion and entertainment industry. The collection includes two footwear capsules designed in collaboration with sustainable brands Viron and Melissa. The Virón collaboration is comprised of five unique footwear styles, including three low-cut loafers and two boots.
The loafers feature ruffle detailing across the upper, one with deadstock velvet, and one with a floral jacquard design. The other low-cut offerings come in black and lilac purple, resembling a sandal with a satin sock interior and an ankle bow. The boots arrive in metallic silver and velvet.
The collaboration with Melissa comprises multiple cruelty-free and vegan sandals made with puffed detailing throughout. The offerings are crafted using MELFLEX, a 100% recyclable PVC material, and EVA insoles made from sugar cane.
