Bauhaus-Themed Contrasting Sofas

Jens Juul Eilersen Designs the Cocoon Sofa for Eilersen

Danish imprint Eilersen unveils three new iterations of the Cocoon sofa including a Bauhaus version that dabbles with primary tones and geometric shapes. It was created by Jens Jul Eilersen originally in 2008 and the sofa's silhouette is meant to imitate the feeling of retreating into a pupa, complete with various cushion sizes and shapes for more comfort. The three versions include Bloom, Blues, and Bauhaus.

Jens Juul Eilersen explains, "As I played around with the idea of what it must feel like to be a caterpillar spinning silk, the image of a gigantic toy box arose. A giant toy box with triangular cushions, lumbar cushions, head cushions, armrests, neck cushions – in fact, cushions of all shapes and sizes. It allows you to choose your own level of comfort while also having fun building and sitting on the sofa."
