The Clover Emotion Tracker Records Small Emotional Data Points

The Clover Emotion Tracker records small emotional data points through a physical desk gadget that uses touch and motion sensors to register user interactions. The device consists of a puck-like hardware unit with a textured surface and built-in indicators that detect taps, presses, and rotational gestures. Users are encouraged to interact with the device at moments of positive feeling to log a “happy moment.” The tracked data is stored locally and can be exported to companion software through a wireless connection.

The hardware unit is battery-powered with a USB-C charging port on the underside and a series of LED indicators around the perimeter. Input gestures are mapped to internal event logs by firmware stored on a microcontroller. The exterior case is produced from molded polymer with a matte finish. The device is sized to fit on a desktop or bedside surface with a footprint of approximately seven centimeters in diameter.
