Grocer Click-and-Collect Services

Aldi Trials a Click-and-Collect Service to Match Competitors

European grocery chain Aldi announced that it will be trialing a click-and-collect service for the first time with hopes for a broader roll-out across stores if the trial proves successful. Currently available exclusively to Aldi employees, the click-and-collect service will be available to consumers in the coming weeks.

The service works by letting consumers choose from a variety of products online. Once selected and ordered, the products are ready to pick up at their local store with customized time slots and dedicated pickup parking areas available to ensure maximum convenience and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This is yet another way we are innovating to make sure we best serve our existing customers and make Aldi’s great products and unbeatable prices available to even more people,” said Giles Hurley, Chief Executive Officer, Aldi UK and Ireland.
