The Chevrolet Stingray Returns After More Than 40 Years
Jonathon Brown — January 14, 2013 — Autos
After 40 years, the Chevrolet Stingray returns. The 2014 Corvette Stingray is back, signalling the car maker's return to its glory days.
This menacingly sleek revamp features the LT1 small-block V8 engine, which will get you 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. This release comes after a few Corvette models over the last few years that didn't quite live up to expectations. This new Chevrolet Stringray will get you from 0-60 mph in under four seconds.
The body on this model is muscular, yet sexy with a slim front end and short rear end. Both the hood and the trunk are made of carbon fibre to reduce the car's weight. The manly modelling continues on the interior thanks to accents done in aluminum and carbon fiber. The car is available in a seven-speed manual or a six-speed paddle shift automatic.
