GM Announced an Upcoming Hybrid and All-Electric Corvette

GM announced an upcoming 'Electrified Corvette' followed by a subsequent all-electric Corvette. The announcement came in a post on Twitter where Corvette posted a 25-second trailer for the hybrid electric vehicle. The automaker did not confirm whether this will be a plug-in hybrid or a regular hybrid. This vehicle was announced with an early 2023 release date, with the electric vehicle coming "soon after," according to the brand.

The vehicle is displayed in a metallic black-and-gray colorway reminiscent of a leopard print. The vehicle features a similar design to previous high-end Corvette models complete with its bulky trunk, four brake lights, and sleek, aerodynamic hood. Corvette has not yet confirmed the performance specifications of the hybrid vehicle. One notable takeaway from the trailer, though, is the sound of the vehicle's engine, which is much more light and muted compared to the loud, grumbly engines of gas-powered Corvettes.
