The Cherry KW X ULP 2 Mini is Designed for In-Office Use

— August 13, 2025 — Tech
The CHERRY KW X ULP 2.0 MINI is a compact 75 % mechanical keyboard that omits the numeric keypad to save desk space and improve ergonomics. It employs CHERRY MX Ultra Low Profile tactile switches, manufactured in Germany, beneath an anodized aluminum top plate and abrasion-resistant PBT keycaps. The 2.0 revision adds an internal metal reinforcement and uses recycled housing materials, resulting in a quieter typing experience and enhanced structural stability compared to its predecessor. A protective neoprene travel pouch is included, and the keyboard supports both Windows and Mac layouts through a combined keycap design.

Connectivity options span two Bluetooth 5.2 channels, a 2.4 GHz wireless channel via a nano receiver, and a wired USB-C port, enabling up to four simultaneous device pairings with on-the-fly switching. White backlighting offers ten brightness levels, while additional colored LEDs indicate channel status and caps lock, and an RGB indicator beneath the CHERRY logo displays battery charge. Full N-key rollover and anti-ghosting operate across all modes, and the detachable USB-A to USB-C cable handles both charging and data transmission. Fold-out feet provide adjustable typing angles for desktop or mobile use, and AES-128 encryption secures wireless communications.
