Designed and created by Gésine Hackenberg, based in Amsterdam, this ceramic jewelry is made with various original techniques. Gésine Hackenberg is an artist who specializes in the field of art jewelry. The artist experiments with discarded kitchenware to design kitchen necklaces.
Created by conceptually overlapping jewelry and objects of everyday life, the necklaces are fashioned out of old plates and bowls. The plates used often boast beautiful floral designs. To make the jewelry, Gésine cuts ceramic discs out of the chosen objects and transforms them into beautiful and unique necklaces, rings, and earrings.
The artist's guiding philosophy for her series of handmade jewelry is that "an object can be given a new and unexpected life by changing it into something different."
