Gonzalo Mardones Arquitecto designed 'Casa Mo,' a spectacular estate located in the resort town of Zapallar, Chile.
The residence is nestled into the sloping hillside, ensuring that it does not become a visual impediment to the water from the street. Alternatively, embedding the home into the slope offers the residents more privacy.
All of the common living and dining spaces are arranged on the middle level, which is very accessible from the outdoors. The most prevalent space is found at the home's peak, suspended over the volume in order to capitalize on the breathtaking horizon. Meanwhile, the bedrooms can be found on the ground floor, offering greater privacy and a direct entry to the gardens.
