Carnival Tropicale Opens Bookings for 2028 Sailings

Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Tropicale is the fifth and final Excel-class ship and will begin sailing from Galveston on April 15, 2028, offering four-, five-, six- and eight-day itineraries. The vessel presents a tropical-themed Grand Central Atrium and a multi-deck family hub called Sunsation Point, designed to keep families active from day into evening.

The ship centers Carnival WaterWorks Ultra, a waterpark with six slides including SunSoaker, Turning Tides and Racing Currents, plus a dedicated kids splash zone. Guests can play Fairway 66, a Route 66–inspired mini golf, tackle the Treehouse Adventure Trail, and visit The Vault Retrocade for classic and modern games. Dining is curated under The Next Course concept with venues such as Uku Lei Lei, Fetaccine and Emeril's Coastal Seafood by Emeril Lagasse.

Itineraries call at Carnival’s Paradise Collection islands and ports like Celebration Key, Half Moon Cay, Isla Tropicale, Puerta Maya, Progreso and Nassau, giving families varied beach and port options. The combination of layered entertainment and diverse dining aims to simplify multi-generational planning while keeping daytime and evening programming lively for all ages.
