Panda Express is Adding New Cantonese BBQ Brisket

— June 1, 2026 — Lifestyle
Panda Express has always brought together Chinese and American culinary traditions, and its new Cantonese BBQ Brisket is no exception.

Panda Express' latest dish is inspired by Cantonese BBQ char siu, which is a popular type of barbecued pork. Panda Express' version consists of slow-cooked brisket that's been hand-cut into thick slices and then flame-seared in the brand's new char siu-style sauce. The sauce is made from a flavorful blend of sugar, soy sauce, onions, garlic, spicy fermented soybean paste, mirin, paprika, and sesame oil to deliver the "sweet, tangy notes of BBQ" and "aromatic Chinese spices."

The new Cantonese BBQ Brisket will be available as of June 2 through August 10th, and will have "super-premium" pricing, which means there's a $1.95 upcharge for Bowls, Plates, and Bigger Plates.
