Social Media-Inspired Scents

Cake Beauty's Candied Lemon Vanilla Hair & Body Mist is Fan-Approved

Canadian beauty brand Cake Beauty is turning social media feedback into product development with the launch of its Candied Lemon Vanilla Hair & Body Mist, a limited-edition fragrance created in response to repeated requests from the brand's TikTok community.

The scent originally appeared in a smaller fragrance format, but continued enthusiasm in Cake Beauty's comments encouraged the brand to introduce it as a standalone, full-size product. Combining sweet vanilla with bright lemon notes, the mist arrives in playful packaging finished with a pink, fully bedazzled cap that reflects the brand's colourful aesthetic.

The launch also coincides with a new partnership between Cake Beauty and creator Spencer Barbosa, whose body-positive and confidence-focused content has attracted more than 11 million followers. Cake Beauty will sponsor Barbosa's upcoming Nashville bachelorette weekend, where the new fragrance will make a celebratory appearance.

Launched exclusively on Amazon last week, the release demonstrates how beauty brands are increasingly treating online communities as active participants in innovation, using direct consumer feedback to identify demand and shape future product launches.
