The Camlet Mount, developed as the result of a collaboration between Vancouver-based Camlet Products and New York-based IC Art NY, is a contraption that helps you connect your mobile device to your camera. This gadget aims to make such a connection possible while offering the image quality and features of DSLR and mirrorless cameras.

This mount, which is currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign, can connect to any camera hot shoe. Once the device is strapped in, you can compose shots and also interact with camera controls through the touchscreen. Captured images can be saved to both the camera and the mobile device and edited immediately on your phone or tablet. These images can then be shared on social media.
