Modern designers have created some truly unique homes, but all the geometric shapes and ladders in the world can't come close to the old school awesomeness of Marcia Weber's caboose house. Weber lives year-around in a 1909 Soo Line train caboose built in 1909 and purchased in 1975. The caboose house has underwent a few modifications since it was built but still manages to retain its old world charm.
Weber moved into the caboose house full-time after divorcing from her husband. The first few years, the home had no modern amenities such as a washer and dryer or toilet, but Weber toughed it out and eventually managed to modernize her house and turn it into a home. Today, the 337-square foot caboose looks as homey as any other, with all of the modern conveniences one would expect in a normal, non-train home.
