It's not a secret that the food industry is dominated by men -- especially male chefs -- yet the Burger Pawty wants to shake up the scene in a fun and meaningful way. The Burger Pawty is a one-day event hosted by women, including a female butcher, that sandwiches food and female empowerment between two pink buns. That's right, it's an all-pink event that will also still appeal to men.

Burgers, Barbies and beer come together at the Burger Pawty, which is the perfect way to help end the summer. Taking place in Toronto, Canada, it will feature burgers from butcher Louise Mangalino and is hosted by Jessica Lagman of Hooked Catering Co. As written in the press release, "With a passion for story-telling, the Hooked Co. founder pulls from different cultural influences to bring her personal experiences to life."
