Skeletal Celebratory Hard Drives

The Buffalo Skeleton Hard Disk Calls to Mind a Design from 1998

The Buffalo Skeleton Hard Disk has been debuted by the Japan-based brand as a limited-edition external hard drive that puts its internal workings in the spotlight as an aesthetic focal point. The hard drive comes as a follow-up to the original unit released in 1998 and boasts a demure design that puts the internal workings in focus for curious tech enthusiasts to admire. The hard drive boasts a 4TB capacity that's kept enclosed inside a machined aluminum housing, which has gold and anodized black finishes that gives it an overall weight of 3.3-pounds.

The Buffalo Skeleton Hard Disk is limited to just 50 examples that are priced at 100,000 yen each and will only be available in Japan through a lottery starting in June.
