'The Brown Crayon Project' is a Kickstarter-funded initiative that aims to produce natural skin and haircare products for babies of color. While there are a few companies that specialize in producing certified-organic hair and skincare products for babies, none are designed specifically for infants of color. This line of natural baby products provides parents with a more holistic option for caring for their child's natural hair and skin.

According to its Kickstarter page, The Brown Crayon Project "is the first certified-organic, all natural line of skin & hair care products intentionally designed for babies, toddlers and children of color." The line consists of wholesome products that are organic, vegan, cruelty-free and GMO-free. Not only are the products a more wholesome option for infants, but each item is also specially formulated to address the specific hair and skincare needs of children of color.

The initiative fills a major gap in the natural skin and haircare market by catering to the needs of infants and toddlers.
