Slow-Cooked Brisket Sub Sandwiches

Jimmy John's Introduced Two Brisket Sandwiches

Jimmy John's rolled out two brisket sandwiches featuring Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauces, the Hickory Brown Sugar BBQ Brisket Sandwich and the Sweet & Spicy BBQ Brisket Sandwich, served hot and toasted on 8-inch French bread. Both subs center on thinly sliced, slow-cooked brisket adapted to a submarine format rather than a traditional smokehouse presentation.

The Hickory Brown Sugar version layers cheddar, shredded lettuce, crispy fried onions, Sweet Baby Ray's Hickory Brown Sugar sauce, mayonnaise and splashes of oil and vinegar that the French bread soaks up. The Sweet & Spicy build keeps cheddar, lettuce and mayo but swaps in Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet & Spicy sauce, onions and Jimmy Peppers pickled hot cherry peppers for a tangy heat. Meat texture ranges from pull-apart to slightly chewy across both subs.

These sandwiches offer a portable, saucy barbecue option for fall and tailgating crowds, delivering distinct sweet or sweet-and-spicy profiles inside a familiar Jimmy John's sub. Priced around $10.19 for an 8-inch at one location and debuting September 14 for a limited run, they add a barbecue play to the chain's menu.
