Sara Marshall's Brand by Hand Reimagines Iconic International Logos

Brand by Hand is a series by Sara Marshall, a graphic designer based in Auckland, New Zealand. She has reinterpreted some of the most iconic brand names and logos seen across the globe in an artistic way. By reimagining them as hand-lettered works, the Brand by Hand series highlights some of the main attributes of each design.

From colorways to imagery and more, the Brand by Hand series is enlightening. Marshall specifically points out that while major brands have adopted minimalist logos, "there has been a huge rise in the popularity of hand lettering that, in contrast to minimalist ideals, is characterised by imperfections, texture and embellishment." By combining the two, she manages to introduce "the personal, hand-treated and flowery nature of hand lettering into the cold corporate world."
