The 'Rolleiflex Instant Kamera' Combines Old-World Design With Modern Features

Box cameras have long been one of the most iconic and instantly recognizable photographic machines around, and now German company Rollei has unveiled a gorgeous new camera, dubbed the Rolleiflex Instant Kamera, that is being positioned as a rejuvenated version of the company's famous twin lens reflex camera from 1927.

The revived box camera holds onto the unique aesthetic of old-school box cameras, but includes a range of modern amenities and features that include a glare-proof viewfinder, embedded electric flash and Fujifilm Instax Mini film compatibility. The camera is also designed to be more compact and lightweight than its predecessor.

Currently the subject of a crowdfunding campaign over on Kickstarter, the Rolleiflex Instant Kamera is a fine example of old-world technology aesthetics being combined with modern features.
