BoomBites Introduces a New Product Dubbed the Red Berry Grapes

BoomBites, a Spanish brand operating in the UK, has officially unveiled the Red Berry Grapes, the first 'superfruit' to be sold in British supermarkets. The Red Berry Grapes are described as "the very best table grapes," offering juicy flavors similar to a berry or cherry.
Notably, the red pulp inside of the Red Berry Grapes has a high anthocyanin count, effectively solidifying it as a superfood. Anthocynanins help contribute to improved cholesterol levels, vascular function, and gut microbiome, allowing the company to market the new fruit product as premium and with the health credientials of a superfruit.
The grapes also feature resveratrol and lower glucose uptakes than standard grapes or berries.
“This has major implications for weight control, insulin response and dietary advice around fruit consumption, because we know that many consumers restrict intakes of these fruits rich in antioxidants because of concerns about the amount of sugar in fruit," said Dietician and member of the Red Berry Grape Advisory Board, Nichola Ludlam-Raine.
