Bonita Bowls is Expanding to a New Illinois Location

Bonita Bowls, a fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in smoothie bowls, poke bowls, wraps, and other healthy menu options, has expanded its presence with the opening of a new location in La Grange, Illinois. This marks the chain's fifth corporate location, joining existing outlets in Glen Ellyn, Elmhurst, Downers Grove, and Park Ridge. Situated at 114 W Calendar Avenue, the La Grange store features vibrant design elements, including colorful floral displays and eye-catching artwork. The menu offers a variety of health-conscious options, such as the Bali Bowl, made with acai, gluten-free granola, blueberries, strawberries, and honey, as well as the Nama Colada Smoothie, which combines coconut, pineapple, and agave blended in coconut milk.

The expansion into La Grange is part of Bonita Bowls' broader growth strategy, which focuses on suburban areas around Chicago. The company, founded in 2021 by Illinois native Kyle Kissane, has experienced steady growth over the past four years. In addition to the La Grange location, Bonita Bowls plans to launch its franchise division with a new store in Wheaton, Illinois, later this year. This move reflects the brand's commitment to making healthy dining options accessible to a wider audience. The Wheaton store will be operated by franchisees Traci and Oscar Suazo, who aim to bring Bonita Bowls' wellness-inspired menu to the downtown area.
