Taking inspiration from the 60s, Bonaguro Giorgio has come up with these vases that pay homage to the relationships between designers and glass manufacturers from this time gone by. Back in the 60s and even in the 70s, glass blowing and design was at an all-time high, so people from these two industries came together to create designs that are still well-respected today.
The vases are called Tapio Vases, and have an extremely smooth finish. Bonaguro Giorgio also experiments with different types of metals to place on the top of the designs, and in this case he placed a copper material here. The combination of the shape of the glass and the copper top section elevates these designs into a luxurious product. Clearly taking inspiration from the masters of the 60s paid off.
