Luxury designer label Dior Homme recently launched its 'Black Carpet' collection, which takes typical formal wear styles and embellishes them with extravagant designs that make each garment unique.
The collection is part of the label's Spring/Summer 2018 season, which explains its use of floral embroidery and other embellishments on suit jackets. Included in the Black Carpet collection is a suit jacket that features large white roses on it, which take over the majority of the left side of the chest. Another prominent piece is the suit jacket that is covered in 3D floral designs, which are black to match the material of the suit.
Belgian fashion designer Kris Van Assche explained the inspiration behind the collection by saying, "The idea of the Black Carpet was to convey the energy and rebel attitude of the runway collection on a capsule collection of evening wear while playing with the embellishment codes and the know-how of Dior. Reworking the evening suit by pushing it in more extreme interpretations."
