Bite-Size Baking Kits

Baked by Melissa Brings Cupcake Kits to Target

Baked by Melissa is bringing its first at-home cupcake kits to Target, turning the bakery's bite-size format into a baking project for home bakers. The Target-exclusive line starts with three flavors and includes dry mix plus decorating bags and tips, so buyers can make the brand's mini cupcakes at home.

A Tie-Dye Holiday option adapts the bakery's signature cupcake for seasonal baking, and a silicone pan with 42 wells matches the small format the brand is known for. Those details cut down on improvising pan size and decoration.

At $8.99 each, the kits reach Target stores and online this month, with in-store rollout expected nationwide by Saturday, November 7. Nationwide Target placement widens the brand beyond Northeast stores and online orders, and gives the retailer an exclusive baking activity instead of another boxed dessert mix.
