Based in Australia, Bid4Kids is a website that makes it easy for cause fundraising, more specifically, to support charity initiatives that focus on children's education programs. The online portal was founded by Stuart Jeffries, Paul Campion and John Braid; they all also worked on Swim4Kids, which raised half a million dollars for Brisbane's Royal Children's Hospital.
Like many social businesses, Bid4Kids make it clear that they aren't a charity but rather an auction service so that different organizations, including charities, schools and non-profits, can raise money for their projects. The idea is that since it's online, bidders will feel less inhibited than they might have at an auction that took place in a physical venue.
