According to The Independent, Nigoghossian hopes to achieve no less than the “democratization of fashion.” Independent designers can get exposure by joining the online community and submitting their ideas and work. If their creations hold up in the judging process—which involves judging from Beta Fashion’s professionals and the site’s web community—then the designs will be produced and sold in the Beta Fashion online store.
