ÜBerhaus by Pezo Von Ellrichshausen is a Restaurant Pavilion

Überhaus is a restaurant pavilion designed by Pezo von Ellrichshausen and located within a botanical garden in Yangpyeong-gun, South Korea. The building is composed of a strict concrete grid that defines both its structure and spatial organization. A series of square, hollow concrete columns support two horizontal slabs, creating a dining level below and an accessible roof terrace above. The pavilion is positioned along the edge of a forested site, allowing views toward the surrounding landscape from multiple levels.

The primary dining space occupies the lower slab and is partially enclosed with glazing, while sections of the perimeter remain open to create covered exterior seating areas. The concrete structure is cast in place and finished with a subtle pigment intended to sit quietly within its natural context. Interior finishes include terrazzo flooring and timber ceiling elements arranged around openings that bring daylight into the restaurant. Service functions such as kitchens and storage are housed within a concealed lower level beneath the main dining floor. Circulation between levels is handled through staircases and elevators integrated into the structural grid.
